Report: Former Nets guard Jevon Carter to sign a deal with Bucks

Former Brooklyn Nets guard Jevon Carter will sign a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The defending champion Milwaukee Bucks have snatched up another former member of the Brooklyn Nets. After the Nets waived DeAndre’ Bembry, the Bucks signed him to a deal and now, they are going to bring in another former Nets guard.

After Brooklyn waived Jevon Carter on Monday to make room for the addition of veteran Goran Dragic, Carter will now sign a deal with the Bucks in order to give them more depth. Carter averaged 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in 46 games for the Nets, starting one of them, and he shot 33.3% from the floor and 33.1% from deep.

Carter will give the Bucks a solid defender out on the perimeter, but the Nets didn’t need that anymore after the big acquisition of Ben Simmons. Nonetheless, Carter now adds more depth to the team Brooklyn is trying to knock off in Milwaukee.

As the Nets now move forward, they will have to focus on getting everybody on the same page with 23 games left in the 2021-22 season before the playoffs. They have a lot of issues that need to be addressed as they have overhauled their roster.
