The Atlanta Falcons moved on from the greatest receiver in franchise history over the weekend after completing a trade with the Tennessee Titans that shipped out Julio Jones.

That leaves Calvin Ridley, another former first-round pick out of Alabama, to pick up the slack as the Falcons’ No. 1 option. Ridley is coming off of a career-high 90 catches for 1,374 yards in 2020, but the fourth-year receiver reportedly underwent minor foot surgery, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Ridley, 26, will be sitting out of minicamp but is expected to be ready when training camp kicks off late in July. Look for Russell Gage and rookie Kyle Pitts to get some extra work in minicamp with Ridley sidelined.
