Report: Ex-Titans TE Delanie Walker drawing interest from multiple teams

Delanie Walker is drawing interest from multiple teams.

Former Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker is reportedly drawing interest from multiple teams in free agency.

According to ESPN’s John Keim, the teams interested in Walker are the Washington Redskins, Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers.

The 35-year-old was cut by the Titans last week, making him available on the open market after seven seasons in Nashville.

After being one of the best tight ends in the NFL over his first five seasons with Tennessee, Walker has played in just eight games the past two years.

He suffered a brutal ankle injury in 2018 that limited him to just one game, and in 2019 his season was cut short after just seven games due to complications with the same ankle.

In his absence, fellow tight end Jonnu Smith emerged as a key player in the Titans’ offense, which made Walker expendable.

Walker was one of four cuts the Titans made this offseason, as the team also parted ways with running back Dion Lewis, kicker Ryan Succop and outside linebacker Cameron Wake.
