Report: Dolphins are not targeting Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh

It’s not expected that the Michigan Wolverine will make his NFL return in Miami.

The Miami Dolphins have fired head coach Brian Flores on the Monday after Week 18, as they join the pool of teams now looking for a new coach.

With all of the rampant speculation that will come with the coaching search, one name that reportedly hasn’t been on that list is Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington.

Harbaugh had one of his best years at Michigan this season since signing on in 2015. He led his team to a 14-2 overall record and a trip to the College Football Playoff, where they were defeated by Georgia in the Orange Bowl.

While Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has large connections to Michigan, it appears that they will be looking elsewhere to find the next leader of their locker room.
