Doc Rivers’ staff in Philadelphia continues to take shape with the 76ers head coach turning his attention to someone who was on his staff in Boston back in 2010-11 and has spent 11 seasons as an assistant coach in the NBA.
Most recently having served as an assistant to Jim Boylen for the Chicago Bulls, Roy Rogers is someone Doc Rivers is “interested in adding” to his coaching staff, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Prior to his lone season with the Bulls, Rogers was an assistant coach for the Houston Rockets (2016-17 to 2018-19), Washington Wizards (2014-15 and 2015-16), the Nets (in Brooklyn for 2013-14 and in New Jersey for 2009-10 and 2008-09), the Detroit Pistons (2011-12) and the Celtics (for the one year with Rivers).
