A dynasty has ended as quarterback Tom Brady will officially part ways with the New England Patriots and hit the market searching for a new home. But don’t be on the Indianapolis Colts being among his suitors.
While Brady joining the Colts has been referenced several times this offseason before free agency started, Indy isn’t expected to be among the teams pursuing the 42-year-old quarterback, per Ed Werder of ESPN.
Despite appearing to be an ideal fit, I’m told the #Colts are not in the market for Tom Brady. It appears Philip Rivers a better possibility.

The Colts certainly have a need at the quarterback position after Jacoby Brissett showed he isn’t the long-term solution under center throughout the 2019 season. It seems the Colts are preferring to talk with Philip Rivers as their top target on the market.
This shouldn’t surprise many. While Brady to the Colts was a fun thought exercise and he’d likely find success with Frank Reich, it was never expected that the two sides would find their way together in the market.
Brady is coming off of a down season that saw the Patriots offense dwindle in comparison to the rest of the league. He completed 60.8% of his passes for 4,057 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions. His 3.9% touchdown percentage was the lowest of his career while his 6.6 yards per attempt was the second-lowest of his career.
Brady is still looking to continue his career, but it doesn’t appear the Colts will be in the market for the six-time Super Bowl champion.
