The Chicago Bears have their new general manager in Ryan Poles, having passed over candidate Morocco Brown for the role. Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator still remains a finalist for their head coach vacancy, though.
Eberflus has already interviewed once with the Bears’ brass. That came before they hired Poles as the new general manager. Eberflus is still scheduled to have his second interview on Wednesday, which will now include the Bears’ new general manager.
Even with the new hiring of Poles, Eberflus is still considered “a top finalist” for the head coach vacancy, per Adam Jahns of The Athletic.
Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus is still considered a top finalist for the Bears’ head coach opening. According to a source, he’s still set to meet with the team — which will soon include Ryan Poles — tomorrow.

So nothing has really changed on the front with Eberflus. He’s still a finalist in two places: Chicago and Jacksonville.
We’ll see what happens, but Eberflus still appears to be a favorite to land a head coaching gig somewhere.
