Report: Chicago has emerged as a possible suitor for Rudy Gobert

The Bulls, along with the Hawks and Raptors, are reportedly interested in the three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

The trade machine is running at full speed as the offseason rapidly approaches.

And for the Chicago Bulls, the rumors and speculation are flowing at an all-time high.

Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer confirmed the report of The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor that the Bulls have ’emerged as a potential trade destination for Gobert.’

Fischer also noted interest from the Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors.

In Fischer’s report, he noted that any trade for Gobert would almost have to include Nikola Vucevic, which will fill up the majority of the money needed to send out in the deal to obtain $38 million contract of Gobert’s.

Along with Vucevic, as Fischer notes, ‘Chicago’s willingness to part with Williams remains to be seen’, which would most likely be a deal breaker if the Bulls were unwilling to part with Patrick Williams, who would fill a much-needed perimeter defensive void on Utah’s roster.

Adding in the contracts of Coby White and Javonte Green alongside Vucevic and Williams makes the money work to complete the deal for Gobert, which would certainly require some draft capital as well.
