South Carolina gained just over 400 yards of offense, but that is dramatically down from LSU’s last game against Missouri. And the Tigers even came up with key stops when it looked as though South Carolina might have something working in its favor.
LSU’s defense combined for seven sacks of South Carolina quarterback Colin Hill (12-of-22 for 234 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) with seven Tigers getting credit for at least half a sack. B.J. Ojulari led the effort with three sacks.
Eli Ricks also made sure the defense got on the scoreboard with a 45-yard interception returned for a touchdown.
