Report Card: Grading LSU after difficult loss to Texas A&M

LSU received some tough grades following its 20-7 loss to Texas A&M. The defense earned some high marks, but that was not enough for LSU.

Special Teams: C-

LSU’s special teams had a costly turnover when it was unable to field a punt cleanly and allowed Texas A&M to recover. But the defense prevented that mistake from coming back to haunt LSU too much. Cade York missed a 34-yard field goal on his only attempt of the game. LSU also had just 10 kickoff return yards on one return and zero punt return yards despite Texas A&M punting 12 times in the game.

LSU’s next game will be against Alabama next Saturday, December 5. LSU was originally scheduled to play the Crimson Tide on Nov. 14 but the game had to be postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the LSU program. LSU’s previously scheduled game against Ole Miss has been pushed back to Dec. 19.
