Report Card: Grading LSU after difficult loss to Texas A&M

LSU received some tough grades following its 20-7 loss to Texas A&M. The defense earned some high marks, but that was not enough for LSU.

Defense: B+

This loss certainly cannot be put on the defense. LSU’s defense held Texas A&M to 13 points (Texas A&M scored one touchdown on defense), and that was more than enough to help keep the Tigers in the game, at least judging solely by the scoreboard. The defense may not have been able to record a sack against Kellen Mond, but the defense did a great job of preventing Mond from getting in any rhythm.

But no turnovers forced meant LSU was in a field position game for much of the night, and that was one Texas A&M managed to win the majority of the evening.
