The Los Angeles Rams already know they’ll be without their leading rusher, Darrell Henderson, on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, but they’re hoping they won’t also be missing Cam Akers.
The rookie running back suffered a high ankle sprain two weeks ago against the Jets and missed Week 16 against the Seahawks. He’s listed as questionable for this game and will be a game-time decision. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Akers is “likely to try to play” against the Cardinals, which isn’t very definitive, admittedly.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network also reported Sunday that Akers’ status will come down to his pregame workout.

If Akers can’t go, Malcolm Brown, Xavier Jones and Raymond Calais will handle the workload at running back.
Los Angeles will also be without Jared Goff, Cooper Kupp and Michael Brockers on Sunday.
