Report: Bulls’ Patrick Williams severely sprains ankle, out 4-6 weeks

The second-year wing will be on the shelf to start the season.

On Friday morning, the Chicago Bulls announced that second-year forward Patrick Williams suffered a severe left ankle sprain which will sideline him for up to 4-6 weeks.

Per the Bulls, Williams suffered the injury during an individual workout. With the 4-6 week window, that puts Williams’ start to the 2021-22 season on hold as the regular season kicks off on Oct. 19.

In his rookie season with the Bulls, Williams averaged 9.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.
