All signs point toward Cam Akers being done as a member of the Los Angeles Rams. It’s just a matter of time before the team moves on from him, most likely via trade.
Sean McVay confirmed Monday that the Rams are talking to teams about a potential trade involving Akers and on Tuesday, Jordan Schultz reported that several teams have reached out to the Rams about a deal. Those teams include the Browns, Raiders, Ravens and Buccaneers.
The Raiders are the most interesting team of the bunch considering they have Josh Jacobs as their lead back already. But the Browns just lost Nick Chubb and the Ravens lost J.K. Dobbins for the season due to injuries. The Buccaneers could be looking for an upgrade over Rachaad White, or a player to pair with him at running back like Akers.

It’s still possible Akers gets released (salary reasons), but the team is actively shopping him and he’s more than… pic.twitter.com/ZZ3KZJJIvD
