It has been no secret this week that the Cleveland Browns have been open to trading away running back Kareem Hunt. According to Brad Stainbrook of The OBR, the Los Angeles Rams have had talks with the Browns surrounding the former rushing champion. It was also reported earlier this week by ESPN that the Browns are looking for a fourth round pick in return.
After missing out on Christian McCaffrey, it seemed obvious they would call the Browns next as they look for an upgrade at the running back position. With just 10 games left on his contract (nine if he is not traded before Monday night), and after requesting a trade this Summer, the Browns will be looking to recoup an asset for a player that will almost certainly walk in free agency to a team with a starting job.
With one team looking to get back to the Super Bowl, and the other looking to recover draft assets after a blockbuster trade over the summer, the Rams and Browns may just be a match made in Heaven.
The Cleveland #Browns continue to field offers on running back Kareem Hunt and may feel more inclined to get a deal done if they lose Monday against the Cincinnati Bengals, per a league source.
