Bishop Thomas’ short-lived Colorado football career appears to be over.
On Friday, Adam Munsterteiger of BuffStampede reported that Thomas, a defensive lineman, hasn’t worked out with the team since the spring semester began and is “not expected to compete with the Buffaloes in 2024.” Munsterteiger cited Chico Cleveland of the Bigg Dogg Chico Show as his source.
While Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has yet to speak on the matter, Josh Tolle of BuffsBeat reported on Friday that Thomas has been dismissed from the program.
Thomas, who transferred from Florida State to CU last May, was suspended from the program for a portion of the 2023 season due to violating team rules.
In his lone season with the Buffs, the 6-foot-2, 305-pound lineman appeared in nine games and played in 117 defensive snaps. He also made a memorable appearance at fullback during Colorado’s season opener at TCU.
Thomas is a former three-star prospect from Orlando, Florida.
