The list of candidates for the current head coaching vacancy for the Philadelphia 76ers is a gaudy one. It’s headlined by successful coaches such as Tyronn Lue, Billy Donovan, and Mike D’Antoni and two of those big names appear to have at least secured an interview in person.
According to Sports Director of KRON4NEWS Jason Dumas, the Sixers will have both Donovan and D’Antoni make the trip to Camden, New Jersey to their training facility for an interview. They will most likely meet with general manager Elton Brand who stated that he will lead the coaching search this time around.
Source tells me that Mike D’Antoni & Billy Donovan should be in Camden this week to interview with the Sixers for the head coaching job.

There is a lot of success had between these two candidates as Donovan accomplished a lot of good things for the Oklahoma City Thunder while D’Antoni revolutionized basketball with his pace-and-space game. It is a little surprising to see a guy like D’Antoni in the mix considering the roster that Philadelphia possesses. It is not a roster made for his style of play.
