The Buffalo Bills will likely look to improve their pass rush this offseason. J.J. Watt is evidently already a player on their radar.
According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, approximately 12 teams in the NFL have already showed interest in the defensive end who was released on Friday. The Bills are one of four teams already linked to him.
Per the report, the Steelers, Browns and Titans are three others.
The Bills would have a variety of reasons for approaching the free agent. Watt, who will be 32 next season, certainly appears to still have plenty left in the tank and the Bills’ pass rush was one of the very few areas that was lacking in 2020.
In potentially landing Watt, the Bills would then likely move on from others in order to make room for him. Potential cap casualties can also be found on the team’s defensive line, such as Mario Addison, Quinton Jefferson and Vernon Butler.
