The Cincinnati Bengals hold the first pick of the second round Friday night and could look to add a playmaker at wideout or along the defenisve line.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Baylor wideout Denzel Mims and defensive lineman Ross Blacklock are two players the Bengals are targeting.

While this is a prime smokescreen stretch for a team that might want to trade down, both guys would make plenty of sense.

Mims is one of the top players left that we ranked as Round 2 candidates.

Blacklock is a little more unexpected, but he’s a 6’4″, 305-pound interior defender who can probably shuffle all over the place and have a big impact as a rookie while also shoring up the long-term outlook with Geno Atkins aging.

If the Bengals are considering both, it probably means they have at least borderline first-round grades on them — that would constitute a win to start Friday’s proceedings.
