Report: Anthony Davis on minutes restriction, Rondo game-time decision

The Los Angeles Lakers leading scorer will be on a 28-minute restriction against the Boston Celtics on Monday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers will have their star leading scorer back on Monday night against the Boston Celtics, but they won’t have him for the regular amount of minutes they are used to seeing him for when he plays, according to reports from pre-game in Boston.

According to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald, Anthony Davis will be on a restriction of 28 minutes on Monday night when the Los Angeles Lakers face the Celtics in about 90 minutes. While Davis will play but be restricted, Kyle Goon of the Southern California News Group reported that Rajon Rondo will be a game-time decision after missing the last three games.

The Lakers will be on the second game of a five-game trip that will include two games against the New York teams and a final game at Philadelphia.

Rondo has been out since the Lakers victory on Jan. 11 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. In that game, Rondo had his best game of the season with 21 points, eight assists, and 12 rebounds.
