Report: Allen Flanigan is withdrawing from the NBA Draft

More good news for the basketball team.

One of the final questions about Auburn’s roster for the 2022-23 season has been answered. [autotag]Allen Flanigan[/autotag] is withdrawing from the NBA Draft and returning to the Plains for his senior season, according to Jeff Goodman of Stadium.

He is the second Tiger to withdraw from the draft and return to campus, Dylan Cardwell exited the draft process on Monday.

Flanigan appeared in 22 games last season and made 20 starts after undergoing surgery on his Achilles in September. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound guard did not look the same after the injury, averaging 6.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

After such a devastating injury, a stepback was not unexpected after he was one of the top players in the SEC as a sophomore. As he continues to have more time to recover from the operation, expectations can be raised for him.

With his return, he should be the starting small forward and one of Auburn’s top players. If he can regain his form, then he has a chance to shoot up NBA draft boards and carry Auburn into the postseason.
