According to a report from NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, the 49ers could look to promote DeMeco Ryans to the position.
Ryans played in the NFL from 2006 to 2015 as a linebacker with the Eagles and Texans.
Ryans has been on the coaching staff with the 49ers since 2017
