Report: 2024 in-state 4-star WR picks up offer from Florida

James Randle impressed Florida coaches during the June 7-on-7 camps at UF. So much so that he picked up an offer from the orange and blue.

Four-star wide receiver [autotag]James Randle[/autotag] is one of the top players out of the state of Florida in the class of 2024. [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag] has kept things very close to home during this cycle, so it comes as no surprise that he offered Randle a scholarship after seeing him in action last month during the UF’s 7-on-7 camps, according to Gators Online.

Florida’s still relatively early to the race, but programs such as Miami, Kentucky and Tennesee are already in the mix. The good news is On3’s recruiting prediction machine has Florida as the frontrunner right now with a 64.7% chance to land him. Interestingly, UCF and USF are ahead of  Tennessee and Miami on that list, so it could just be a product of early data skewing the results.

Still, Randle seemed to be excited to pick up this offer from Florida.

“That’s a big offer. I love the offer; it was a good one,” Randle told Gators Online. “They wanted to offer me when I first came to Friday Night Lights last year, but I got it this time. I love the offer.

Randle will return for Friday Night Lights again this year, according to GO, and the staff is trying to get him to stay for the recruiting cookout that takes place the following day, July 30. Getting familiar with Randle now is smart by Napier and Co. considering he’s likely to be a priority target for many high-level programs.

Randle is ranked No. 111 overall on the On3 consensus and is No. 18 among receivers. He’s also ranked No. 24 among recruits out of Florida in the class of 2024.
