When UCLA offered Wisconsin commit Deacon Pe’a Hill in late July, the Badger staff and fanbase had every right to wonder if there was a chance that the Santa Barbara QB could flip to the Bruins.
Hill grew up just a couple hours away from UCLA’s gorgeous Westwood, California campus and has family history with the Bruins. His older sisters had tremendous water polo careers at UCLA, and back in December the future Wisconsin QB told BadgersWire that the Bruins were “a dream school” throughout childhood in sunny Santa Barbara.
Yesterday, UCLA’s 247Sports site ended speculation surrounding Hill to the Bruins, but in fairness to the Wisconsin commit he has always seemed to be 100% locked in to UW and has been a valuable recruiter in his own right. Tracy Pierson of Bruin Report was the first to report that sources told him Hill would remain a Wisconsin Badger.
