Remaining offseason calendar for Cardinals

Here is a look at the final four weeks of offseason work. They have three weeks of voluntary OTAs and one week of mandatory minicamp.

The Arizona Cardinals have only four week remaining in their offseason program. The NFL draft is over. Phases 1 and 2 of the offseason workout program have concluded. They have held rookie minicamp.

All that is left are 10 sessions of voluntary organized team activities (OTAs) and three days of mandatory minicamp.

What does the calendar look like for these practices?

Cardinals’ OTA, minicamp schedule

Arizona has three weeks of voluntary OTAs. This is when, with no pads, players can begin to do player-vs.-player drills. Teams can have 11-on-11 reps and 7-on-7 reps.

How the Cardinals will actually handle those practices is not yet known. They might keep them at walkthrough speed or choose to focus only on positional drills to focus on the players’ health.

Here are the dates for the three weeks of voluntary OTAs:

  • May 23-25
  • June 1-3
  • June 6-9

After that, there is one week of mandatory minicamp. All players must report or be subject to fines.

Media will have access to some practice time but will not be able to report on everything they see.

Minicamp will be held on the following dates:

  • June 14-16

All three practices will likely be open to the media, although what they can report could be limited, so that might include rotations, positions and depth charts.
