It’s time once again for focusing on a ref’s horrible missed call, which feels like a weekly event in the NFL these days.
This wasn’t so hard to find, because fans everywhere were mad about it. With the Kansas City Chiefs facing a 3rd-and-23 midway through the fourth quarter in the game they’d eke out a win in on Sunday, Patrick Mahomes sat back in the pocket for what seemed like forever.
As you’ll see in the video below, Jermaine Johnson (No. 11) was wrapped up and then some by the Chiefs’ Donovan Smith. Johnson even got a hand out to protest as he continued to be held. No whistle, and Mahomes took off for a run that would lead to a first down:

Find you someone who holds you like Donovan Smith holds Jermaine Johnson. pic.twitter.com/XIcrx4kDKw

Jets head coach Robert Saleh didn’t sound pleased:
Robert Saleh on if he has any thoughts on Chiefs holding Jermaine Johnson: âI have a lot of thoughts on that. But Iâll stay quiet.â https://t.co/P6e8B6nfuk
