Update: At the last minute, the NFL subbed Ron Torbert for John Hussey.
Looks like we have a late substitution at the referee position in Cincinnati. Ron Torbert is in for John Hussey. This is the first unscheduled white hat substitution of the season pic.twitter.com/kIhjYzYBtC

7-year veteran NFL referee John Hussey and his crew have been assigned as the officials for the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals according to Football Zebras.
This is the second time that Hussey and his crew have officiated a Chiefs game this season, with the first coming against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 11. He’s one of the most veteran officials in the NFL, with 20 years of experience as a referee and line judge.
During that Week 11 game against the Cowboys, Hussey’s crew called 12 total penalties, with six against each team. Five of the penalties on the Chiefs were called against the offense compared to only one against the defense. That’s good news heading into a game against the Bengals, whose offense is the clear strength of their team.
Hussey’s crew has officiated the fewest games in the NFL this season with just 13 on the year. As a result, they’ve called the second-fewest penalties in the league with 146. His crew has only called 41 penalties since Week 11. Home and away teams don’t seem to have much of an advantage with this crew with 73 penalties apiece.
False starts (37) and offensive holding (30) are still the two penalties called the most by this crew with defensive pass interference (11) in a distant third place. This could be another week where the NFL’s new taunting rule is at the forefront of the discussion. Hussey’s crew owns the second-most taunting calls in the NFL with five on the season. Two of those penalties came against Kansas City in Week 11 when they faced the Cowboys.
