In a day dedicated to the future with the firing of Bruce Allen and others, the Washington Redskins quietly made some moves behind the scenes on the players front.
For now, said moves don’t have to do with heavyweight names such as Trent Williams or Josh Norman. Instead, the team announced the signing of five players to reserve/future contracts:
- T Paul Adams
- DE Ryan Bee
- WR Emanuel Hall
- DE Cameron Malveaux
- WR Jordan Veasy
Now is the time when teams move to hoard as much long-term talent as possible. Plenty of roster change will still occur as markets open and drafts occur, but these names might stick around because the front office saw something it liked.
