The Washington Redskins got plenty of usage from their rookies in 2019.
Some of the superb usages weren’t intended but the Redskins needed help. Most of it was, though. Think the developmental track of first-round pick Montez Sweat, for starters.
Dwayne Haskins ended up getting plenty of snaps down the stretch too and breakout wideout Terry McLaurin ended up being a workhorse snap-wise when he wasn’t hurt.
In all, the snap usage isn’t as important as the quality. Later-round picks like linebacker Cole Holcomb showed promise and Redskins fans can rest assured they’ll see more of wideout Kelvin Harmon and defensive back Jimmy Moreland in the coming years.
