The Washington Redskins had an easy decision to make when it came their turn to pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. With the No. 2 pick, as was expected, they drafted Chase Young, the dynamic edge-rusher out of Ohio State.
While rookies in the NFL make a lot less money than other players, Young’s high selection will allow him to see a nice payday in his first contract, thanks to a handsome signing bonus that the Redskins are giving him to join the team.
As the 2nd overall pick, Chase Young's fully guaranteed 4-year rookie deal should be a little over $34.5M, which includes a signing bonus slightly under $22.7M.

On top of his contract from the Redskins, Young was also featured in a video that was released by Beats by Dre after the pick, which could hint at a potential endorsement deal in the near future — one that wouldn’t come cheap.

We can’t yet predict what type of impact Young will have on the field in 2020, but we know that at the very least, he will be well compensated.
