While injuries to guys like Paul Richardson have muddied outcomes for the Washington Redskins this year, the injury setbacks have enabled fast-risers like Steven Sims to shine.
And shine Sims has, especially as of late as he’s caught three or more passes in each of his last two games, not to mention his plays on special teams that resulted in a weekly honor.
For offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell, Sims’ upward swing and the developmental stance of the franchise over the next few games could mean even more looks for the promising wide receiver looking to have a role long into the future.
Per Craig Hoffman of 106.7 The Fan:
KOC says that he’s really seen a progression in Steven Sims’s ability to read the game. He really wants to try and get him the ball more as Sims proves he understand leverage, timing, etc.

Wideout has been a kind position for the Reskins this year. Terry McLaurin has obviously been a breakout star, but the presence of Sims stepping up with guys like Richardson out is a good sign
Sims gets another shot at impressing against the Eagles over the weekend.
