Redskins CB Greg Stroman’s cousin shot and killed in Richmond hotel

Redskins cornerback Greg Stroman announced that his cousin was shot and killed in a hotel in Richmond on Tuesday morning.

Washington Redskins cornerback Greg Stroman announced on Wednesday that his cousin was shot and killed in Richmond, VA. early on Tuesday morning in a hotel.

According to the Washington Post, Jermaine Rayshard Stroman, 30, was found dead in a third-floor hallway of the Quality Inn and Rodeway Inn on Arthur Ashe Boulevard.

“His death is unrelated to the recent nationwide protests. Law enforcement does not have a murder suspect, per reports, so Stroman took to Twitter on Wednesday to urge anyone who knew anything to step forward.”

Stroman is one of several cornerbacks on the Redskins roster, and he is expected to compete for a role on the defense this upcoming season, where he will hopefully crack the rotation and see some time on the field.

Our thoughts are with him and his family during this troubling time.
