The Washington Redskins announced a minor roster move after the combine, adding tight end Marcus Baugh to the roster.
Baugh entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and has yet to make his debut. He spent last year on injured reserve with Ron Rivera’s Carolina Panthers before becoming available.
It’s a reunion for Baugh and Rivera in Washington. He’ll also get to again work with tight ends coach Pete Hoener and offensive coordinator Scott Turner after doing so in Carolina.
While a small move, it isn’t an unimportant one considering the Redskins lost Vernon Davis to retirement and cut Jordan Reed.
If anything, Baugh’s arrival is just an appetizer of sorts before the Redskins presumably make a much bigger upgrade in free agency or the draft.
