Redemption time: 49ers defense needs better showing vs. Cardinals

Although the Seattle game is the only loss on the season, it may have been the defense’s best performance.

Tartt made one of the plays of the season forcing a fumble before DK Metcalf could get into the end zone prior to halftime on Monday night. Ward has been solid in preventing the big play, except for one instance this season. That instance was against Arizona when Murray hit Andy Isabella for an 88-yard touchdown that Ward allowed after missing a tackle. Arizona has plenty of big-play ability and it’ll be on the 49ers duo of safeties to prevent them.
