Recruiting Player Profile: Jalin Hyatt

Recruiting Player Profile: Jalin Hyatt

KNOXVILLE – As Tennessee football brings in new talent during the Early Signing Period, Vols Wire is releasing player profiles on each individual that signs with UT.

Find out recruiting ratings, key skills, stats and which other programs had offers on the table for each Tennessee signee.

Tennessee’s 2020 early signing class is certainly not short on speed, and South Carolina’s Dutch Fork High School wide receiver Jalin Hyatt is a big part of that equation. With a verified 4.31 40 time, Hyatt fits right into a wide receiver group that loses leaders Jauan Jennings and Marquez Callaway to graduation and the NFL Draft.

Hyatt is a four-star prospect and the No. 56 overall wide receiver on the 247 Sports Composite, and another Tennessee signee that won a state championship during his senior season in South Carolina. Hyatt was consistently one of best players throughout his Dutch Fork career, and he hauled in the game-winning catch in the state championship game.

“When you talk about fast, the guy runs a 10.4 in 100 meters” said Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt of Hyatt.

“He’s a really good route runner,” Pruitt continued. “A guy that committed to our class back in the summer and never wavered the entire time. I don’t think he took another visit.”
