The Denver Broncos had a busy Wednesday.
First, the Broncos placed running back Audric Estime on injured reserve with an ankle injury. That move created a chain reaction of two corresponding moves.
To fill Estime’s former spot on the active roster, Denver promoted fullback Michael Burton from the practice squad. Burton’s promotion created an opening on the practice squad, so the Broncos signed wide receiver Kaden Davis to the practice squad.
The earliest Estime would be eligible to return is Week 6. In the meantime, Blake Watson is now in line to serve as the team’s third-string running back.
