Recap: CU Buffs snap three-game slide with dismantling of Oregon State

Colorado cruised to a much-needed win

Ignoring how brutal a season it has been for Oregon State, the Buffs did what was needed of them in a painless revenge win against the reigning Pac-12 champs.

While Colorado’s chances at making the NCAA Tournament remain slim, it was encouraging to see the Buffs put together two solid halves in a game they couldn’t afford to do otherwise.

Coming into the contest losers of three straight and five of their last six, the win was, needless to say, needed.

The story of the game, at least early on, was CU’s 3-point shooting. An impressive 33 of the Buffs’ 49 first half points came via the deep ball. That production didn’t quite continue into the second half, but an early cushion made for a stress-free afternoon at the Events Center.

Here’s what else we took away from Colorado’s sixth Pac-12 win.
