Realistic expectations for the Jets’ 2020 draft class in 2021

Joe Douglas’ first draft class with the Jets showed promise on a weekly basis last season. If New York is going to take the next step in its rebuild in 2021, though, more is needed of the group.

Robert Saleh has himself a crop of nine talented second-year players entering his first season as Jets head coach. Some of those players, like Mekhi Becton and Denzel Mims, starred as rookies. Others, such as Ashtyn Davis and Jabari Zuniga, struggled to find their way as neophytes. Nevertheless, Saleh and his coaching staff are counting on New York’s 2020 draft class to deliver this upcoming season.
