The incredible run by Notre Dame continued on Friday night in Omaha as the Fighting Irish baseball team opened their third ever trip to the College World Series with a 7-3 victory over Texas.
The 5-7 hitters in Notre Dame’s lineup went 6-12 and scored four runs while John Michael Bertrand, Alex Rao, and freshman sensation Jack Findlay combined to allow just three runs to the Longhorns all night.
Notre Dame’s victory sends them to the winner’s bracket of the pool where they’ll play Oklahoma on Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET after the Sooners got by Texas A&M earlier Friday.
