The Chicago Bulls managed to blow a 23-point lead to the Phoenix Suns, but it is not exactly an easy thing to stop Suns star forward Kevin Durant when he is on a tear. And vs. the Bulls this week, the Slim Reaper was feeling himself, putting up a game-high 43 points.
But rather than dwell on the loss to a very good West ball club, perhaps it might be better to use it as one of several data points in the evolution of Chicago point guard Coby White. The North Carolina alum has become the Bulls’ silver lining in a season that has spent a lot of its first half going sideways due to injury.
Is White good enough of a player for Chicago to build around? At the level where he can complement your 1 A star? Or just playing above his weight for a while?
Only time will tell, but on a recent episode of NBC Sports Chicago’s “Bulls Talk” podcast, hosts KC Johnson and Kevin Anderson broke down how they see the evolution of White as a player. Check it out above!
