Reacting to the Boston Celtics losing to the Miami Heat in Las Vegas Summer League

The Celtics lost to the Summer Heat 119-114, but the focus on these games is always at least as much on how the individual players fared.

The Boston Celtics have dropped their first game of the NBA’s 2024 Las Vegas Summer League to the Miami Heat to start off the annual series of exhibition games held in the great state of Nevada’s Sin City in a 0-1 hole.

The Celtics lost to the Summer Heat 119-114, but the focus on these games is always at least as much on how the individual players fared, and Boston has some bright spots. Neemias Queta (20 points, 9 rebounds), JD Davison (19 points, 7 assists) and Jaden Springer (23 points, 6 assists) played well, with Baylor Scheierman (13 points, 5 boards, 6 assists) and Jahmius Ramsey (16 points) also stood out.

The Sin City Celtics next take on the Los Angeles Lakers in summer league action on Monday, July 15 at 10:30 pm ET. In the meantime, check out the hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast, Bobby Manning, Josue Pavon, Jimmy Toscano, A. Sherrod Blakely and John Zannis as they dive into the game on a recent episode. Check it out below!
