Reacting to Luke Kornet’s big game for the Boston Celtics vs. the Brooklyn Nets

The Vanderbilt alum added 11 points and 7 rebounds from the bench in his best performance of the season so far.

The Boston Celtics sealed a solid 124-114 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center on Saturday night, with a respectable contribution from reserve big man Luke Kornet, who added 11 points and 7 rebounds from the bench in his best performance of the season so far.

Speaking to the media after the game, Jayson Tatum, who had earlier achieved a personal milestone by scoring his 10,000th point, praised the team’s collective effort and depth. “We have depth and we’re extremely talented from top-to-bottom,” Tatum observed. “What’s special about this group is we’ve got some really good guys and we got some guys (who) really just compete. Guys (who) want to win.”

Following the win, the hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast provided their analysis of Kornet’s significant impact off the bench, and contextualized the win given Tatum’s milestone and Boston’s undefeated status.
