Fans of the San Antonio Spurs were already excited about the direction their favorite team was taking after the 2024 NBA draft. After adding University of Connecticut guard Stephon Castle, Ratiopharm Ulm guard Juan Nunez, and University of North Carolina forward Harrison Ingram, the Spurs looked poised to move towards a winning record.
Now, after adding former Golden State Warriors star floor general Chris Paul via free agency, this team might be a play-in tournament or even playoff ball club. While acknowledging the latter is unlikely in the league’s Western Conference, it is still fair to get excited about the possibilities of this team with CP3 in the fold.
