RB Nick Chubb ruled out for Thursday Night Football

The Browns will be without their top two backs for Thursday Night Football with one on injured reserve and the other just ruled out:

In Week 6, the Cleveland Browns were without their two starting tackles (Jedrick Wills and Jack Conklin) and their primary backup (Chris Hubbard) along with the engine for their entire offense, RB Nick Chubb. During the game, QB Baker Mayfield, RB Kareem Hunt and LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah were also injured or reinjured.

The result was a paltry offensive performance and a poor defensive performance.

Not everything was related to injuries as coaching and player performance all deserve their questions.

Hunt and Owusu-Koramoah have been placed on the injured reserve.

With a short week, head coach Kevin Stefanski has also ruled out Chubb for Thursday night’s matchup with the Denver Broncos. The team has not placed their star running back on injured reserve, giving hope that he will be able to play in Week 8 with 10 days off between games.

D’Ernest Johnson, Demetric Felton and John Kelly, just brought up to the main roster, will carry the load at the running back position.
