RB Chase Edmonds remains on IR; Cardinals activate Rashard Lawrence, Aaron Brewer

Edmonds will have to wait at least another week to be back in the lineup. He will miss the game against the Rams, but the Cardinals get Aaron Brewer and Rashard Lawrence back.

The Arizona Cardinals announced a pair of roster moves ahead of their Monday night game against the Los Angeles Rams, activating a pair of players from injured reserve.

Long snapper Aaron Brewer and defensive lineman Rashard Lawrence will both be back in the lineup for Arizona. The team announced Monday afternoon both have been activated from IR. Lawrence’s return will help with the run defense and Brewer should shore up the kicking game that has had struggles the last two games.

However, running back Chase Edmonds and safety Charles Washington, both of whom were designated to return this week so they could practice, remain out and on injured reserve at least one more week.

The Cardinals did not elevate any player from the practice squad with these activations.

The only other injury-related question for the Cardinals that remains is whether or not guard Justin Pugh will play. Having missed the last three games, he was limited in practice all week and officially questionable for the game.

Inactive lists will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff.

The Rams also made some last-minute roster moves. Already down three players who were placed on the COVID list over the weekend, the Rams added cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Tyler Higbee to the list.
