Hours after seeing itself ranked again in the coaches poll, Arkansas is back in the media’s Top 25, as well.
Cam Little’s 27-yard field goal was the game-winner on Saturday night, giving the Hogs their first win in Baton Rouge since 2015 and only their fourth such in Tiger Stadium since joining the SEC in 1992.
Arkansas had lingered on the edge of the poll since losing to Auburn last month, the third loss in a three-game losing streak. Since, the Razorbacks have won three straight, the last two of which coming against SEC opponents.
Coach Sam Pittman’s team now has a shot at eight-plus regular-season wins for the first time since 2011. Arkansas travels to Alabama in the second-to-last week of the season, then finishes at home against Missouri.
The SEC saw X teams ranked entering the penultimate week: Georgia (1), Alabama (2), Ole Miss (10) and Texas A&M (16). Mississippi State and Auburn were just outside the rankings, picking up the 26th and 27th most points in polling.
