After a successful weekend in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico, the Razorbacks remain in the top-10.
The Razorbacks grabbed three wins in the Puerta Vallarta College Challenge by shutting out Rutgers, walking off against Memphis, and run-ruling Long Beach State. The thorn in the side of Arkansas this weekend was the Washington Huskies, who moved up one spot to No. 6 after finishing the weekend 5-0.
On the weekend, Danielle Gibson had eight hits while Taylor Ellsworth brought in five runs. In the circle, Chenise Delce struck out ten batters in four appearances.
Arkansas will play their home opener on Thursday against Wichita State, first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Bogle Park. The game with the Shockers will be a lead-in to the Razorback Invitational that begins Friday. During the weekend round-robin-style tournament, The Razorbacks will face Longwood, Illinois, Western Illinois, and Wichita State.
