Razorback fans will get look at only unanimous AP All-American on Saturday

Arkansas fans will get to see 7-foot-4 Zach Edey in person on Saturday afternoon at Bud Walton Arena during a charity exhibition.

When Purdue invades Bud Walton on Saturday for a charity exhibition at 3 p.m., the majority of Arkansas fans will be witnessing Zach Edey for the first time in person.

Edey, who won all the major National Player of the Year awards in 2022-23, was named an unanimous All-American by the 60-person Associated Press panel earlier this week.

He was joined by Marquette guard Tyler Kolek, Duke’s Kyle Filipowski (who will also visit Bud Walton), Kansas’ Hunter Dickinson and North Carolina’s Armando Bacot.

Purdue, of course, was upset by 16 seed Fairleigh Dickinson in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament, so the Boilermakers are hoping for a deeper run this year after winning the outright Big Ten regular season and tournament titles.

The 7-4, 300-pounder will tower over any Razorback that tries to guard him, but Eric Musselman undoubtedly will have a game plan that at least limits him in some fashion.

Tipoff is at 3 p.m. and it will be streamed on SECN+ and ESPN+.
