Ravens WR Rashod Bateman says he ‘couldn’t be in a more blessed situation’ in Baltimore

Ravens rookie wide receiver Rashod Bateman describes what he thinks about his situation with the team

Baltimore Ravens’ rookie wide receiver Rashod Bateman missed the first five games of the 2021 season after undergoing surgery for an injury that he suffered in training camp. Even after missing time, Bateman put up 46 receptions, 515 receiving yards and one touchdown in 12 games.

When Bateman was asked how he feels about being a Raven, the rookie made it clear that he’s very excited about the circumstances that he’s in, saying that he “couldn’t be in a more blessed situation”.

“I couldn’t be in a more blessed situation. And this year has definitely taught me that being a part of this organization is an honor, and I carry that with pride, for sure. We were never out of it. Despite the cards that we got dealt this year, this team was never out of it until the end. It’s something special to be a part of that. I know we’re going to come out hungry for next year.”

Bateman enters his first NFL offseason with a solid rookie season under his belt and the ability to hone in on his game and improve.  Baltimore’s wide receiver room is one area that for the first time in a long time doesn’t need immediate upgrades, and that is in part in part due to Bateman.
