Ravens WR Marquise Brown weighs in on his dropped passes against the Lions in Week 3

Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown weighed in on the passes that he dropped in Week 3 against the Lions

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Detroit Lions by the final score of 19-17 in Week 3 of the 2021 season. It was a game that Baltimore was expected to win by a much bigger margin, but costly drops, penalties and other mistakes let Detroit hang around and even take the lead extremely late in the contest before kicker Justin Tucker saved the day for the Ravens.

Wide receiver Marquise Brown had three massive drops in the game against the Lions. One ball was deflected right before it glanced off of Brown’s hands, but the other two were egregious blunders. When asked about what he learned from reviewing his drops, the third-year wideout said that his mistakes were “just unacceptable”.

“Yes, I definitely can point out something, but the fact of the matter is, it’s just unacceptable. You don’t ever want to go out there and drop a layup, drop an open pass. I’ve been working too hard on my route-running and separation to drop the ball when I’m open. It could be anything. It could be not looking the ball all the way in. It could be a number of things, but the fact of the matter is, it just can’t happen.”

Brown knows he’s better than his game in Detroit. He had a scorching start to his 2021 season over the first two weeks, but some have forgotten that because of his letdown against the Lions. He seems motivated to bounce back in a big way, and that could all start in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos.
